Thana Sornchamni: Council of Outstanding Early Career Engineers - 2011

Researcher in the Process Technology Department of Thailand’s PTT Public Company Limited.When Thana Sornchamni was a small boy growing up in Thailand, he wanted to be a petrochemical plant engineer. Thana went on to earn his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok where some of his professors had graduated from Oregon State.

Today, Sornchamni works as a researcher at PTT Public Company Limited – the privatization of the Petroleum Authority of Thailand. His current research focuses on Microchannel-based Gas to Liquids Technology (GTL) for flared gas and small to medium-stranded gas reserves.
